Currently, in the UK web hosting market, you can find thousands of hosting providers offering hosting services for websites. Some are linked to major business and support teams have full-time redundant servers and communication systems, power generators, monitoring services such as UK Dedicated Servers and Cloud Servers. While others are small, with limited resources that ultimately compromise the quality of services such as Free and Shared Hosting.

A general rule to sign a hosting plan for websites is to not close an annual plan at the outset. Instead, initially sign a monthly plan: If you are dissatisfied with the level of service, you can cancel the contract immediately in the second month. That way, if you make a mistake when choosing the hosting company, their boredom will be less.

Operating System for Server

The Web server operating system will determine the resources available. If your site is written in HTML, the operating system will not matter. However, if your site is written in ASP you must choose a Windows 2000 server or Windows 2003. If your site is written in PHP is a choice Unix server.

Disk Space

Disk space is directly related to the size of your website. The larger the site the greater the disk space that your plan should offer. A small website can be hosted on a plane smoothly from 10 to 100MB. Your hosting provider should offer plans which allow for future expansion of your site. Before you start choosing the hosting provider, check how much space your site occupies. Not all plans may be expanded or customized. What happens most often is that you need to change the plan and it is not possible to customize its features.
